Relentless shoppers, pray for them

Yes it’s St. Stephen’s Day (in Ireland) and yes the shops have been open since 6a.m.
‘Ye gods’, I hear you cry, ‘how long do your shops close over the Christmas period in Ireland?
Three days, a week, nigh a fortnight!’
Such is the success of consumerism in this country, that most shops have only been closed twenty-four hours.
What urgent need forces individuals from the bosom of their homes before the Christmas turkey’s gone cold?
